Northern Ireland Home Shirt 2016

Adidas and the Association football in Northern Ireland reveals the new look of Northern Ireland home football kits, which will be worn by the team at UEFA EURO 2016.

The new green and white home shirt re-introduces navy blue on the chest and sleeve. It is designed to create impact on the field of next summer when the likes of team leader Steven Davis, Chris Brunt and Kyle Lafferty take to the pitch in France next summer.

The new Northern Ireland football shirt inherits the design of previous football kit in 80s. At that time, the team reached a major international competition at the 1986 FIFA World Cup Finals in Mexico. The new home kit will be worn in competition for the first time during Northern Ireland’s friendly against Latvia.

New Ireland home shorts are white with green stripes on side, matching green socks decorated with white stripes.

New football shirt is manufactured by the latest technology – ClimaCool, and adopts new mesh design to ensure players supported by the latest devices.

Each kit is made by 16 recycled plastic bottles on average. Since 2010, Nike has diverted almost 3 billion bottles from landfills, enough to cover over 5200 full-sized football pitches.
